Samsung Galaxy Mini or Nikon S8100. Help me decide which one?

So my dad's getting either one of them for FREE. He wants me to do the choosing part. I... SUCK at choosing. Can any of you guys help me decide which one is worth having? Or better.

The phone sounds cool, but then again I don't really need one. So I turn to the camera. A 10mgpx camera, not bad, but still sounds lame to me and that I don't really need it either. Arrrgghhh just help me decide? ANYONE? Please hurry because I told my dad to take the camera before. But now, I'm starting to make second thoughts. AAAHHH.

Which does you dad need?

You seem to equate the optical zoom (10x) to the number of pixels on the cameras sensor (12 mp). Maybe you are NOT the right person to help your dad decide.

What phone does you dad have now? If he is still working on his 2 year contract, then the camera is his only choice

Judging from the two brands, I'd say Samsung has better cellphones compared to Nikon's point-and-shoot cameras. I'm just talking about build quality. Functionality-wise, it's all up to you.
