Card error takes in a multitude of faults. It could be the cards corrupted, it could be the cameras card socket is not making a good connection, it could be the card just wants formating in the camera.

So its a process of elimination, first try to format the card in camera if that doesn't work try another working SD card, if that works the original card is corrupted and useless.

If the new card shows the same error then the camera is faulty, if its under guarantee return it, if not repairing it may be more expensive than replacing it.

Hi my friend has a Samsung "S860 http://www.circuitcity.com/IMAGE/product/detail/soe/EC.SOE.S860BLUE.CN.JPG" it has a 4g memory card that came with the camera (sd) and has been working fine up till now it will turn on and say "Card Error" and won't let me take pics or view them what is the problem is it fixable? (Also how much is a 4gig card)?
