Samsung tocco lite problem Help please!?

I've had my samsung tocco lite for a year and a half now, and when i try and play music or radio now through the headphones, the quality is really bad and you can barely here the words just the main backing track, i think it's the dodgy headphones because the music plays fine without headphones, what do you reckon it is? Because sometimes the music plays fine through the headphones, other times it does this really bad sound quality, mainly it's fine, by only recently it's started doing this. Help please.
