My computer is xp pro, dual core, 3 gigs mem., and I have two dvd drives, they are the same drive except for one is sata and one ide, both are LG with light scribe and I use 8x dvd's for copy and the sata drives generally writes at 8x, the ide will write at about 2x, and when they read, it's kinda the same, when I check windows it says the drive is "working correctly" and doesn't up-date the driver when I try. Lg say's they don't know as they should be about the same, what's going on? The ide drive is only a couple months old and not used that much for obvious reasons, the ide is probably 8 months of so old.
