is it always the Muslim countries? Four women and 11 men were sentenced to flogging and prison terms for mingling at a party, judicial officials said.

The men, who are between 30 and 40 years old, and three of the women, who are under the age of 30, were sentenced to an unspecified number of lashes and one or two year prison terms each.
The fourth woman, a minor, was sentenced to 80 lashes and was not sent to prison.

The ruling was handed down on Tuesday at a court in the northern town of Ha'il.
The officials said the police saw the group partying until dawn last month. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorised to talk to the media.
Saudi Arabia follows a strict interpretation of Islam that prohibits unrelated men and women from mingling.

Are muslims who live in the west opposed to this kind of thing, in general? Do they ever protest against it, as they protest against, say, caricatures?
 
It's... kind of sad when you think about it...
Especially if you think at how much sexual frustration must happen because of the separation of males and females.

Now there's a great question! Because frankly, pretty much all I ever see are the Muslims trying to excuse this kind of thing.
 
Because, Christians, say what you will, aren't as bugassnuts as Muslims. Or perhaps because, if you insist on being more PC, Christianity isn't as bugassnuts as Islam. Or, if you'd rather, Christian countries aren't as bugassnuts as Islamic countries. Or I could also offer up that countries whose laws are founded by a Christian majority aren't as bugassnuts as countries whose laws are founded by an Islamic majority. Take your pick.
 
the muslims in the west prefer to protest against the jews, as according to them, crimes made by fellow muslims are not crimes.
