Screaming Technique?

I need some good screaming tips. I'm a vocalist for a band called Show Your Colors and I am the vocalist/screams. I am in need of some good technique. I've been told not to scream from my vocals and throat but that is the only way I can do high screams, please help me out. And give me some different types of scream tips such as; pig squeels, inhales, growls, etc.

Inhales are the easiest to learn.. but if you go to youtube there will probably be a thousand videos to help you out.
