hi, we are selling our house and have a small problem with damp, (not condensation), my question is, if a person puts in an offer and we accept, but they don't have a survey done so don't notice the damp spot until after contracts are signed or they have moved in, will we have to pay for the damp to be treated or is it their problem for not having a survey done? i know this sounds harsh, it's a dog eat dog world though, and we cannot afford to fix the damp problem, but we may be willing to knock the asking price down so the buyer can fix it, but only if we have to.
