Sensitivity of Commercial Smoke Detectors?

I am currently living in a college dorm. I just started to cook my own food, my floor has a kitchen with a oven and stove top. I cook ground turkey/beef using a frying pan. The oven top does have a fan which I set to high while I cook, but the room still becomes a bit smoky. For example, if you look at the other side of the room you can see a faint mist of smoke in the room. The kitchen has 2 smoke detectors in it wired to the main fire alarm system of the building. They are simplex I believe. How sensitive are these detectors? I would hate to be the reason why the whole building gets evacuated because I set the alarm off from cooking. Thanks.

Here is a great article on smoke detectors. It discusses where to put them and sensitivity.
