I have a few stereo fx I want to take advantage of. particularly delay and chorus. this one's a two part question.
-if my chorus pedal (Boss CE-5) has two outputs, and the next pedal in the chain is delay (Boss DD-7) with two inputs, should I be running two connections from the outs of the chorus to the ins of the delay? or just keep it at one out, one in until the signal leaves the delay at which point I use both outs to different amps?
-and after it leaves the delay, i can route one connection back to the fx return on amp 1, but if i route the other output to the return on amp 2 i'm screwed because....the second amp will only be producing sound when my fx loop is turned on. my amp has a switchable fx loop (just on/off) and because i have a few pedals in there, i kinda need that option as stomping 4 pedals to play a solo is a little difficult. is there a better way to route these effects? or am i stuck leaving the fx loop on all the time to constantly send signal to the second amp? for a lot of rhythm playing i will not be using the loop, and although i don't need the stereo sound coming from both amps for said rhythm parts, i don't want to drop significantly in volume when i turn the loop off.
hope that makes sense!!
thank you!
