Okay I'll start this off as I'm trying to finish an argument.
Today in the mail my mom got a flyer from telus offering 10$ a month(for the first year) on optik tv, phone and internet if you sign up for a 3 year contract.
We currently have telus high speed digital internet, phone and tv. She thinks oh $10 thats great! and says after the one year the prices will go back up to the normal price of $87 for all three.
We currently pay around $150 for the three shaw utilities.
I looked at some reviews online about optiks and the main thing I don't like is people were saying that if you use the any of the utilities at the same time it interfere with each other.
Internet will drop from 15 Mbps to under 3 Mbps, picture quality will drop and the phone may drop the call.
Our shaw is 7.5 Mbps.
We have no contract with shaw which is great we can stop at any time but telus is a 3 year contract and has a hefty fee if you want to terminate.
We've never had any problems with shaw but she seems hooked on telus for seeing this offer.
I don't know how to snap her out of it, as shes always constantly on tv and talking on msn as well as I am always playing a game and talking to friends online while my brother watches youtube.
If she gets it without believing me i'll never hear the end of it!
