In buying my first used car, I got a ticket for lacking a valid registration sticker 4 hours after I got it. It was parked on the street (I live in an apartment and don't have a garage or anything). I got the car registered 4 days (2 business days) later on Monday after getting a hold of my insurance agent over the weekend.
