have a 2007 Ford Ranger.? http://www.gasdetection.com/news2/edmunds1.html

So when I get into my truck on a hot summer day, and although I'm unable to detect any odors, the interior is /extremely/ hot, and I inhale it for a minute or two before the air conditioning system recylces the cabin air, am I really inhaling fire retardants, PVCs, VOCs, and...lead?

Could this cause me brain damage?....Cancer later on, perhaps? I realize that PBDEs are no longer used as fire retardants in newer vehicles, such as mine (clarification?) but is there any other substances which might be bioaccumulating in my fat tissue and organs, or causing brain damage?

Does inhaling these things in the one/two minutes it takes for the air conditioning to replace the air even actually allow the substances to pregnate through the lungs and bioaccumulate at all? Is this a valid fear, or is it scare mongering?

I have a 2007 Ford Ranger, by the way.
