I have got a VW polo Y Reg with 90k on the clock and it has given me nothing but problems. Exhaust went (£200.00 parts only inc catalyst), gear linkage went (£52.00 parts only), and now there is an issue with the clutch housing which is costing over £500, i got the car at 75k and I do drive a lot especially on the motorway clock is now on 90k and i hav had it for just over a year.

I am 23 and got my car insured third party and it cost me £1600, this will be cheaper of you on your dads insurance but i all depends on you age and his not claims bonus

we have nearly spent as much on repairs as the car costs.

Hope this help make your decision and good luck in any decision you make.

Well I'm buying my first car and I really like this Volkswagen Polo. Everything seems perfect except it has 108,000 miles on it. Is that too much for such a small vehicle?

And, for those long time car owners, do you think this would be large on the insurance? My dad is going to be first driver and I will be second. He has had his license for over 30 years and he has 3 points.

Any info would be great, thank you!
