Should I buy the Droid X or wait for the iPhone to come out for Verizon?

All of my friends have been saying that the iPhone will be coming out in either January or February of next year. All I want to know is if I am better off buying the Droid X now or the iPhone (if the rumors are even true that the iPhone is coming out soon). This decisions been killing me...
