Should i buy the NOKIA C3-00?

This is the phone i would like to buy for X-Mas so i want to make the right choice, only some people who have bought this phone say that its reliability and battery life is poor and that it fails to complete simple tasks.
I want a phone for texting, calling and possibly internet. I’m not a fan of touch screens or Androids since my last one was a huge disappointment, not to mention it decided to commit suicide in my washing machine... On top of that, i could never top up my ASDA sim for the whole year i owned it because the money would disappear. The phone was always connected to the internet and there was no way to turn it off.

So, my first question is, out of 10, how good is the NOKIA C3-00 and would you recommend it? I would also like to know its reliability and if it always connects to the internet, keeping in mind i have an ASDA sim. Is it also good for texting and calling?

Secondly, if not this phone, what would you recommend for my needs?

First I want to ask you a question, have you ever used push mail service on your previous device? Because that was the only possible reason your phone was always connected to internet. Push mail or nokia messenging if that was a nokia phone?

Anyways! Nokia C3 is a simple java phone, not a symbian one. Don't go for it. You can buy any phone you want but don't start any push mail service on it if you are not on unlimited data plan.
