I woke up with a sore throat on Saturday which got progressively worse throughout the day. I had a throbbing headache along with that. I also had diarrhea. On Sunday, I still had the headache, sore throat, & diarrhea. Some new symptoms appeared including a nonproductive cough, sneezing, some nasal congestion, tender glands, & a low grade fever. As of 4 AM this morning, I still have all of the above symptoms. Coughing & sneezing make my headache worse. It hurts to swallow. That being said, I feel badly about calling in sick. I just got back from a 9-night cruise on Saturday. I'm scheduled to work every day Sunday-Saturday. I went to work on Sunday while running a fever & it wasn't enjoyable. My manager is on vacation. One girl can't work nights. This leaves only 2 other people & my boss to possibly cover for me. My job doesn't offer sick days. It isn't possible to take breaks. I work with dogs, but my responsibities involve contact with all of the owners. If I still feel badly when I wake up again, I think I'll go to the doctor. What do you think I should do? Call in sick or go to work & suffer through it?
