Should I Fix my Bronco 2 or Buy a Jeep?

My father owns a 1988 Bronco 2 that I can have, but it needs a new clutch, brakes, AC, heat, and a tune up. I would have to on top of that get a lift kit, tires, and other parts to make it how i want it. I could probably get a Jeep with a lift for around 5000$. I don't know if i should buy a jeep or fix the Bronco, what should i do?
 
The bill for doing all that work on the Bronco could top $5000.
But any Jeep you buy for $5000 probably needs some repairs, too.
At least with the Bronco, you know what you are getting.
 
fix the bronco cuz they are fords and last awhile
and jeeps will be high on insurance
