I recently bought a new LCD TV and am looking to purchase a Blu-ray player to complement it. But, I want to make sure that I am using my TV to its full capabilities. After much thought, I decided to spend an extra few hundred bucks to get a TV with a 120Hz frame refresh rate vs. the typical 60Hz rate. Now, my problem is that I have no idea if just any old Blu-ray player will get the max performance out of my TV, or if I'm going to have to shell out more money on a top-of-the-line model. Obviously, I would like to kill two birds with one stone and be able to get a next-gen gaming system and a Blu-ray player in one package, but if the PS3's Blu-ray is some shoddy model, I'll probably just go with the 360 and a separate player.
