I recently bought a new LCD TV and am looking to purchase a Blu-ray player to complement it. But, I want to make sure that I am using my TV to its full capabilities. After much thought, I decided to spend an extra few hundred bucks to get a TV with a 120Hz frame refresh rate vs. the typical 60Hz rate. Now, my problem is that I have no idea if just any old Blu-ray player will get the max performance out of my TV, or if I'm going to have to shell out more money on a top-of-the-line model. Obviously, I would like to kill two birds with one stone and be able to get a next-gen gaming system and a Blu-ray player in one package, but if the PS3's Blu-ray is some shoddy model, I'll probably just go with the 360 and a separate player.

well get the ps3 as it might a couple of 100dollars more expensive but thn u have a gaming console

quality wise ps3 and blu ray players both will be the same to play bluray disc.

only thing u would need to do is to get the best 1080p picture out of ur screen is plug a hdmi cable from ps3 onto the tv
and u are set

good luck

The blu ray player on the PS3 is a very low quality player since sony wanted to keep the cost low

if you are spending that much on your tv and want the best quality possibly id highly recommend getting a different, high quality, blu ray player
