Should i get the iphone 4?

i have the 3g and my dad is eligible for an upgrade and has offered as a birthday present to get me the iphone 4 and he will use my 3g. is it worth it? even if i get to keep my unlimited data package? Are the problems be sorted out?

To be honest I would not get the iphone 4 just yet because of the wifi problems..I would wait about another month or to because Apple is promising a fix to the problem.

1) not sure if it was part of your question, but you can keep your unlimited plan if you want however if you cancel it for the new plans at anytime you will lose the ability to get it back.

2) I would say absolutely get the new iphone. If you had the newer 3GS then do not upgrade because the speeds are not that noticable, but if you still just have the 3G you will without a doubt notice how much faster it is. If you take a lot of pictures its good to update as well because pictures are better quality, but as far as some new features like facetime/video chat at this time are not worth it because they only work iphone 4 to iphone 4 and its likely few people have it that you talk to.
