ive been talking to a guy i met on a dating site for over a month and we have really become close. he lives in America and i would really love to see him face to face.
i would be staying in a hotel not with him and it would be almost like a holiday.
is it a good idea to meet up with him and see if the relationship can go further?
he's not asking for that , the flight hotel and stuff cost that much we speak daily online, telephone, and webcam as well.
 
That sounds very dangerous. Maybe see if you can video chat with him first to see if he's legit.

And if you decide to go, BRING a friend or relative.

But I advise you not too.
 
No that would be very stupid! Do you even know what he looks like? If he is asking you 1000 dollars even if you know the guy! I would not. He could be some 90 year old pervert! Sorry for my languge. But I would not go out with him! That would be the stupidest thing I have ever witnessed in my entire life. No offense. Please take my advice to heart. It did not come off of any site it came from the bottom of my heart. E-mail me and answer one of my questions!
