Should I live on base at Patrick? or Cocoa Beach? or Satellite Beach?

Moving to Patrick AFB. Which area is best, all factors considered (housing quality, community quality, energy costs, etc.)?

What are the similarities/differences between Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach? Is it worth it to live on base? What have been your experiences?
I'm married with a 3 year old son.
 
Patrick housing is real nice, jsut stay there if you get any type od discount... If you move off base the housing will either cost 1000+$ for a nice place a month...

Live on Base IMO.

When you go to Cocoa... go to Coconuts.. Its the nicest bar on the beach in Cocoa.
 
Satellite Beach, simply because of the commute is so short. If you're single, you really are better off living on base. Save yourself money.
