Should I pick up and leave?? I work for a magazine in NYC making like 38K. I am a single mom of a 7 yr old girl. Neither one of my parents live in the state nor does her dad. I struggle to pay 1300 for rent and the overall price for living in NYC. I dont go to the the theaters. I dont party. I am single soccer mom, kindly. I dont date at the moment b/c I need to focus on my child. I am def. not living the SITC lifestyle. My brothers and both spouses suggest that I move down to FL. One has a 3 BR apt and has offered me to stay until I get myself together. My daughter needs male figures in her life. And I dont see myself having anymore kids. To watch them play together is amazing!!!! and my bro. and newphews are going thru a rough divorce. My brothers are somewhat torn about the strained relationships we have with our somewhat neglectful parents and have decided that we are just going to be there f or each other. The move would benefit everyone We would have a better life. NY is dirty, gritty, fun but it is not the ideal place to raise kids. I work in current work in publishing, marketing, print production , adverting agency -type environment. Orlando doesn't have many of those jobs but I am flexible and make a good impression and feel confident that I can find another job. But I am scared.... The NY schools suck and are overcrowded. My nabe is ok but surrounded by the dingy ghetto. I want more. I cant save bc I am always in the red. Everything in NY is SO expensive. I took trip to the supermarket and noticed some items were 200% less juice is one. veggies were also much cheaper. Should I go to Orlando or stay in NY??? THNX in advance
