Should I read The Bell Jar and Catcher In The Rye?

yes, you should read them! as a teenager, I know that the Catcher in the Rye was a really fast, very moving, and deeply disturbed piece of fiction. Alas, I also cannot give an opinion on The Bell Jar (I am reading it after I finish my current book!) but I have heard people say that it is the female version of Cather in the Rye. You'll love it. and if you don't, it's a very quick read (took me only two days and was taking my SAT test on one of them so that should show you how riviting the story is). but you'll end up loving it, trust me. :) happy reading!

I am 16 and I love to read. I love John Green books (The Fault in Our Stars and Looking For Alaska) and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, I really liked 13 Reasons Why, and I really want to read some amazing books but branch away from the young adult genre. I think the classics The Bell Jar and Catcher in the Rye sound really interesting. I know they are sad but are they the kind of books that you don't want to put down? I love those kinds of books, are these books truley amazing? I'd have to order them online so tell me your opinion :)
And other book recommendations would be great! And tell me about the books without giving them away :)
