i'm 16 and for some reason my parents want me to start my life early. my mom wants me to be a doctor. and my father wants me to be a cop, and my stepdad wants me to be successful. i really just want to be a firefighter but my mom said i would have to be a fire chief and get my masters in fire science. but then i think back and want to know if thats enough money for me to live. so someone please tell me , even if you are or not in this field of work. will i be able to live stabble in a nice house with 2 good cars. or should i try taking over my stepdads business.

You know of course that firefighters spend little of their time actually putting out big fires, right? Most of their calls are for car accidents, where they have to pull dead or hurt people out of cars, or downed power lines, or fire alarms going off in error, or a broken gas main, etc. Also, a rookie firefighter doesn't make much money at first, they have to get seniority. You need to do is think about what you want to do in life. If what I wrote above sounds good then maybe are ARE meant to be a firefighter. Either way, at your age you should not get hung up about it. At this point in your life you need to concentrate on HS and get good grades when you graduate from HS that will be the time to re-examine what to do with your life.
