hi im a 12 year old girl and i want to start learning martial arts to develop stamina and flexibility.. and it would be cool to learn how to defend myself. im very flexible, i can do the bridge and almost touch my heels (when i do the bridge), i can do the splits the left way, right way, and almost the middle way, i can do handstands, front walkovers, back walkovers, cartwheels, roundoffs, somersaults, etc. i was wondering if i should learn how to do kung fu, karate or tae kwon doe. which one emphasizes on flexibility more than strength? im pretty strong, i have a 7:30 mile time (about), i can do the most sit ups in my grade, i can do a decent amount of push ups, and i swim 1 and a half hours every day in a competitive swim team. so is it too late to start? which one should i take? thank you so much please don't leave rude comments and feel free to post a detailed answer :)

kung Fu or karate, but now tae kwon doe, its more of a sport, the other two are for self defense. I take karate and there are punches kicks, combo attacks and some grappling.

Because you are so flexible you should try capoeira. It a Brazilian Dance fighting martial art, which requires lots of flexibility, and will also build you lots of stamina. :)
