I used to have an old austin mini, and I loved it! for a few years now, I've had one of those new beetles (golf in a party frock!). Its expensive to run, handles as well as a bus full of concrete and costs me a fortune! So i've been tempted to get another mini. Not the new ones (BMW in a shoebox) but an original style austin mini cooper? I know I will have to sacrifice all my current luxuries such as air con, and safety, etc,(!) but as I don't have any legroom or bootspace anyway, I feel I should just spend half as much on running costs and swap it for a lovely mini? Any sound mechanical advice greatfully received...
