I'm going on vacation march 1st to Kosova *in Europe * and I wanted to know if I should take my iPhone with me...I'm with fido, I was thinking maybe I would take my SIM card out, leave it at home, just take my phone so I can take pictures, connect it with wi-fi over there is that a bad idea? Could I even do that..
Please answer :)

Yeah, I'd take it.

I have both the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 and when I was in EU, I had them both with me. In Italy, I bought a Italian SIM card (it was cheap, like £20), for my iPhone 4. I use that to text friends, and I turned on the personal hotspot to gain access to internet for my iPhone 5.

If I were you, I'd call your cell phone provider and explain that you're going to EU and you want to make sure you're not charged a penny while you're there, how does one do that?

Or you can just buy a sim card from the country you are visiting. It shouldnt cost much and you can still have the internet without having to search for wifi. Or at least that was what I did when I went to London.

most phones dont work without a sim card. when the sim card pops out of my phone or even moves slightly it tells me to insert the sim card. n it will only let u make emergency calls. no camera. try taking a camera instead.
