I am moving into a new place next week and will be sharing a room with a person I have not met yet, but have many mutual friends with.

I've been told that I'm a heavy snorer but it's never been an issue because all my past roommates have been easy-going deep sleepers.

I'm afraid that problems might arise with this new roommate over my snoring.

Should I have told her I snore before signing up to live with her? Why is it never asked about in roommate searches?

If there are issues, would the most ethical thing be for me to move out?

Why tell her? Your not going to be sleeping in the same bed as her are you? As long as you pay your rent on time snore all you want. I am sure she snores too. I bet she even farts in her sleep. Should she tell you that before she moves in with you??????

First of all, dont worry about it. If it wasn;t something you were asked in the sign-up, its not a problem. If the roommate complains, buy her some earplugs and be done with it. Or, try some nasal strips. Not a big deal!

Naa...She will get use to it after a little while..If your really worried just get them drunk every night.

Tell your roommate that you snore. I know it's going to be embarrassing for you, but you might as well put it out there. I have a roommate who snores to and he never told me. So needless to say, it irks me. If you come clean right off the bat, it will look better for you.
