Should my business switch from T1 to DSL for internet?

I want to get fiber internet but it is not available in downtown Houston for less than $1000/mo. We have fiber at another location for $250/mo. The Houston location currently has a 1.5Mbs T1 that is too slow for the users. We could switch to DSL and get 6Mbs down and it is $600/mo cheaper. We have about 20+ people in this office and a proxy that can limit bandwidth per user. Does it sound like a good idea to switch to DSL until fiber is more accessible?
 
A 1.5 Mbs T1 is a really SAD T1 in this day and age. Get with your provider - If he cannot improve his service than by all means switch. Your probably the last customer he has left.
