...his travel expenses to come see us? Last year he wanted to come visit us a few hours away and he asked us to purchase a new set of tires for his jeep in order to do so. Now yesterday, he asked my husband to buy him an ipad or Galaxy for his birthday in July. We have a daughter going to college 1400 miles away and are preparing for those expenses and my husband literally started working a week ago after a 4-month layoff. His father is an ordained person of the church and quotes the Bible when asking us for money. We found out yesterday that he often discusses in church that his oldest son pays for everything he needs. We absolutely have paid for nothing and never bought those tires. Before the recession, we gave him a few hundred dollars as a Christmas gift and provided him with paid transportation to our home. But our financial situation has changed since then but I don't think he believes that it has.
