The list could go on and on...I have better things to do, but teens tend to think anything is newsworthy. Suicide generally isn't one of them unless you happen to be famous and nobody wants to make these kids into martyrs because mom and dads are rotten.
No, I am a teen myself and I do not believe it should. first off most teens are under the age of 18 and their names cannot be released to the media unless parents agree. secondly, having a friend who killed himself playing russian roulette and being there to see what our friends and his family went through, I think this should be a private matter because a death at all is horrible but a child is always worse, so much life and potential, then also you have the "attention seeking teens" who would then get ideas and may foolishly imitate the death for attention resulting in their own accidental death or permanent self harm........ I do however believe that if parents want to tell their childs story in hopes that it would save other childrens life by showing them there are other ways out and it will always get better and the results on loved ones after they take their lives that the government shoud set aside money for something life a mini infomercial, at out school we have something called Prom Promise and the coroner from our town comes and shows us pictures and interviews of families of people who died from drinking and driving, we then sign contracts that we wont drink and drive and our coroner actually gave out his number to all of us promising us that over spring break he would personally come and get us if we were too drunk to drive with no reprecussions, I know I kinda went on a rampage lol but I hope this helps!
