In 1993 the Winnipeg Jets traded Kris Draper to the Red Wings for $1. That dollar was never collected. The Jets moved to Phoenix, and are now under the control of the NHL. At a reasonable level of 5% interest over 17 years, that dollar balloons into $85. That is $85 the NHL can use to support the Coyotes or buy everyone at the next Board of Governor Meetings chili cheese dogs. So should the NHL take the Red Wings to small claims court and so that they can buy some dogs?
