Should we tar and feather Liverpool fans who fail to boycott the sun?
I didn't expect this to elicit a serious response because it is mainly out of jest. However, I think you have a very well-formed opinion and I agree with you for the most part.
As we live in a free country people have the choice to either read The Sun or boycott The Sun
If you want the Government to tell you want you can and cant read then you can always move to China, North Korea as these are told what they can read and if you dont agree they will send you to jail
No. At the end of the day, whilst what the Sun did was wrong, people have the right to choose what papers they read, if any.
If you want to boycott the sun, go ahead. If you want to preach about the evils of the sun, go ahead. But it is not your place to condemn those who don't share the same views as you.
Besides, wasn't one of the things you wanted in the JFT96 Campaign, a fully fledged apology?
The Sun issued it in 2004. And some fans have moved on from it.
It was Rupert Murdoch and Kelvin MacKenzie who published 'The Truth'. Despite objections from other editors and staff at the Sun...
It was also a smear campaign by the Liverpool Echo that disregarded the 04 apology and used the Rooney saga as a cover-up.
What they did was despicable. But they have apoligised numerous times, the people responsible have been punished by the Sun... Do you boycott the BBC for hiring MacKenzie?
