Sidekick ID APN Internet Settings?

I recently bought a Sidekick ID off ebay because my Samsung Blast screen broke. I needed a quick replacement and this is the cheapest OK phone that I could of find. With my old Samsung Blast loging in to AIM wasn't a problem now with the sidekick it doesn't let me log in. Does it have something to do with my APN connections? Sidekick uses hiptop.t-mobile.com and my samsung blast uses wap.voicestream.com. What would happened if I were to change the settings from hiptop.t-mobile.com to hiptop.t-mobile.com?
 
hi can i change a side kick apn settins to something else to get the internet
