Skyrim Achievments: Offline to Online?

I've been playing Skyrim in offline mode since it released (my internet was out for a month or so). After finally getting my internet back, I signed in to my xbox live profile only to see that none of the achievements gained from playing Skyrim previously in offline mode transferred over. I recognize that this is totally a nerdy complaint, but I do find it kind of dissapointing, especially after spending so many hours with the game and racking up so many achievements. Other games make this transfer just fine. Is anyone else having this problem? And if so, have you found a way to fix it? I really wouldn't want to have to start the game over to get my achievements...
