Slow Computer Internet Connection (HP J6410 ALL-IN-ONE PHOTOPRINTER)?

I recently purchase the "HP J6410 ALL-IN-ONE PHOTOPRINTER" and installed it on my new Windows XP PC that meets all the software requirements - the printer is wireless and is very good but after installation simple tasks like booting up and connecting to the internet are delayed, often taking 20 seconds and sometimes freeze the computer.

Any solutions to making this printer software not delay my computer?
