This does not happen very often, but the duct work may have been damaged. If you duct work is in the attic or crawl space, you can inspect it your self. If it is under the slab, you will need to hire a HV-AC contractor with a camera to inspect the duct-work. They can also preform a smoke test to determine the exact location of any openings in the duct system.
On the other hand, airflow can transfer from room to room depending on the atmospheric conditions inside and outside the home.
