Some men argue that they were created higher than women?

I never understood their arguments. Can some one explain to me why they would be "higher"?
 
Generally it's based upon religion. Which is a bunch of horseshit in my opinion.
 
their need to feel superior but if women is lesser, we men come form them so if the weak creates why would the created be better or superior; my mom brought me to this world so i am only as strong as she helped me to be--character-wise, personality, etc. She motivated me to seek a higher education; it has been said behind every successful man is a strong woman.
 
Due to religious backgrounds. Actually, women have been the life-bearers, hunters and killers of times long before Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Men may be physically stronger than most women, but intellect, emotional strength when it comes to family and ferocity can be argued.
 
It says so in the Bible.The Most High made man first.Read a Bible and you will get your answer.
