out horrible: Should I say anything? This person, while not on the same level as the likes of Jamie Oliver or Heston Blumenthal, is a pretty good cook.

Tonight, we made Slimming World's 'creamy' carbonara.

The recipe involved penne (We don't have spaghetti), 1 clove of garlic, 3 egg yolks, 1 red onion, lean ham, 250g of Quark cheese, paprika, parsley and chives.

He asked what I thought of it and he wanted my score out of 10. To be honest, I thought it was pretty nasty: I suppose it almost tasted synthetic, although none of the ingredients were.
I kept trying to get his opinion, but the best I could get out of him was "It's not as good as real carbonara, I admit, but I think it's OK."

Help?
I suppose it;d depend on who was cooking it, now I think about it.

It was my boyfriend.
