someones spread rumors and won't let me talk to them about it?!?

so this ex-best friend (ex-b*tch) went and told everybody that i liked some jerk and now i can't have a conversation without it being awkward. she gives me dirty looks and avoids me and just spreads more rumors. whenever i try to talk to this hairy beast about it, she goes "oh, what are you talking about?" and storms off. i know for sure it's her whose spreading the rumors. i need to tell that b*tch off before i leave for high school.any ideas??? btw, shes a HUGE nerd if that helps
 
next time you see her, just be like "you look like a huge fool spreading those rumours"
and tell your other friends not to believe what she says, coz she;s a biatch. and if she spreads a rumour again, hopefully, your friends will be like "that's not true" or something. idk
 
Went through a similar situation in high school. I had been hanging out with this guy, never did anything with him other than kiss and flirt. I'm not sure if my friend was jelous or what, but the whole next year I was dealing with rumors that I "let him hit it.". I was sooo upset. I thought he was spreading them, so I confronted him. He swore up and down it wasn't him. Then a friend of mine told me that one of my closest friends was telling people that, so I casually asked her if she had heard the rumor. The look on her face gave it away even when she tried to deny it. She told me she knew who started saying stuff, but she couldn't tell me because it was a good friend of hers. Me and her had been friends for YEARS and she couldn't tell me? Yea right.

After a lot of other stuff, I ended up just dropping her as a friend. Ignored her completly, and when people asked me why we didn't talk, I told them she just wasn't a good friend to me and left it at that.

You don't need to get back, but in a way just dropping her is a way to get back. Who cares about her anyway? Truth is you probly won't talk to her or half the people you do now once high school is over. And people do forget, so just stop aknowlegeing the rumor and it possibly will go away.
 
don't bother about it..go to high school and get on with your life without her..
 
well it would be really childish if you get back @ her if you started spreading rumors about. The best you could do is ignore all of this and try that nothing is happening. If anyone tells you if it's true, the best answer you could respond is that "not everything that you hear is true"
 
Make up a rumor about her! Fair is fair!
Edit -- thoroughly think about this rumor, don't rush into it because it can backlash. You said she's a nerd, do you want to ruin her reputation or just make her embarrassed? Think about something that would really make her skin crawl. Oh, and it has to be something based on the truth, and if she denies it, get people to back you up
 
if it gets worse tell teacher or family for help if its not so bad now then find alone time with her and ask her why is she doing this to you what made it start? ask her why and if you did anything to make her mad at you that she got to the point to start rumors about you. There got to be a reason for he to do this in the 1st place try to find out why and what it is get to the bottom of the rumors on how it all began.
 
1. get in a large area and stand on a bench and say INSERT NAME HERE and say some runor about her....BTW not a good idea.
 
Your childish trying to get back at her , from what you say she is trying to get you p****d off so she can enjoy looking at your behavior towards these rumors that might not even be true . Be the bigger lady and let it go she can talk always she wants , probably just offended of you .
