Sony Blu Ray takes ages to switch on...normal?

My sony Blu ray takes ages to turn on, and read discs.
must be upwards of 2mins approx.....is thi normal.

Why does it take so long???
 
I'd try getting a lens cleaner on it, make sure you ave no dust inside it. Otherwise, use the gaurenttee... Thats wot it's for.

I wouldn't know really as i don't have a blu-ray player.
However most modern technology does take a little longer to heat up with all the newer technology it has to set up, i would tend to keep it on, and switch it on when a few mins before your planning to watch a movie.

However go to the shop and ask them in there about it
 
is this windows vista?

ifit is then yes it is normal do a virus sweep anyway just to be safe

if tyou dont have one go to www.computeractive.co.uk/downloads then get avg antivirus and spybot search an destroy both are free and they will update themselves all you do is install
