Sony Ericsson W518a External display brightness?

Hi,

I just bought a new AT&T Sony Ericsson W518a Phone. But the external display is really dim not even visible in more light or daylight. Can any one please tell me if there's a way to set the brightness of external display or my phone is faulty.
