sony ericsson x10 mini pro not charging?

my phone phone is a sony ericsson x 10 mini pro i have had it four around 4 months and it was refurbished by the 3 network which its locked to. since the beginning of this month its had trouble charging one point it would be charging next it was flashing red today i found out if i took the battery out for 30secs and put it back in it would charge but if i moved it it would stop whats happened to my phone and what should i do about it.

Check your charging cable. just where it enters the plug at the point which looks like a "design" it can break.
The 2 wire cable which is 'soft' hits the hard part and literally breaks fibres, sometime you can see the exposed copper fibres . Over a time there would NOT be enough copper fibres in contact to allow a charge
You can check this by 1) usb charging OK not the phone 2) moving the cable it stops /starts charging
