sony ericsson xperia arc s in a boot loop...any help be gratefull?

I brought my phone last july and had no problems with it at all up until now. First of all it kept throwing me back out of the internet and now its stuck in a boot loop. I can switch it on will come up with sony ericsson and the symbol but cant load the homepage and will repeat this. It says on the box 4.0 android upgradable could this be the reason why its doing this? any body had any problems like this? thanks

Try hard reset.
Hold Camera, call receiving button and call ending button together.
and then open the phone.
