I took my kitten to get spayed on Monday. I have been checking the incision every day like the vet has told me and trying to monitor her activity level - although she does go completely crazy running and jumping like she's not recovering from surgery. On Wednesday I took her back to the vet cause it appeared she had popped a stitch or two. He didn't think she needed a collar because she wasn't licking it all that much but she had definitely split one of her stitches - which are all internal. He gave her a shot so she won't get an infection and said to keep monitoring her. Tonight it looks like there's a small hole where she's possibly ripped out some more stitches. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all, but I'm wondering if she'll need to go back and get more stitches because it won't heal properly or if this is common and it will just heal fine?

i think you should call the vet. i've never had one of my 5 cats do that, or ever heard of someones cat doing that. just call the vet better safe than sorry!
