So I was doing 71 on a 50 the other morning while I was on my way to school. I was late to school and was doing 71 unintentionally. Needless to say, i believe the ticket is 4 points. So regardless, the cop told me to have the captain I know, call him and he would have to vouch for me. Doing so he said would allow me to receive no points but I would still need to attend court. Now, he told me to plead not guilty. By doing so, would I need to clarify why I was doing such speeds and reasoning behind me pleading not guilty? Im a bit worried and my parents were awefully pissed. This is my first ticket since I have receieved my provisional back in May. So would it be a go to court, plead not guilty and the cop would say give him no points or what would be the case? I'm really worried, i will get hit with these points and this is the first offense and time ive ever sped.
