Actually, its not an easy job. An actor has very early call times, could sit in a chair for hours getting uncomfortable make up, wardrobe, etc. Then there is a LOT of waiting around while the crew sets up the shot, lighting is checked, sound, camera, blocking, then all the lighting, sound, speed, shot angles, and blocking are changed because the director doesn't like it or something goes wrong, or something breaks. It's boring. REALLY boring.
Then you may have to do a couple dozen takes for just one shot, which could be equal to only a couple of words of dialogue, then you wait some more, then everyone goes on lunch because it's union rules, then after lunch reset the shot, lighting, camera, speed, etc. You have to stand there underneath some really hot lights, makeup reapplied, hair adjusted, wardrobe, etc, ALL WHILE STAYING IN CHARACTER! (or whatever acting process someone goes through). If you're an actor, making movies suck.
**And of course the producer on set is worried about the budget. If filming goes past 6PM, that's overtime for all the crew and extras. That sucks, too. So the producer gets the director cranky, who gets the crew cranky, who gets the actors cranky.
