Could your former spouse sue you for plagiarism?
Situation: Tim gets a creative itch and writes Tim's Concerto for Tuba, Opus 1, and it goes off without a hitch. Tim decides to get it copyrighted and published. Tim makes a mix tape for his love interest, Pam, which has a recording of Concerto for Tuba on it, and she instantly falls in love with them. They get married. About a year later, Tim decides that he is a woman living in a man's body, so he gets a sex change and changes his /her name to Tina. Tina goes to "her" theory class and composes piece that plagiarizes from Concerto for Tuba.
A) Can Pam claim Tim's life insurance/belongings, since Tim no longer exists?
B) If so, can Pam sue Tina for copyright infringement, since she is now the owner of the piece?
p.s.- I asked this earlier, but only got 2 answers...
