Why do I get thumbed down for giving an unbiased point of view both reasonably attacking Christians and atheists in the same answer? I reckon most of the things I state about both groups are true and the thumbs down are from those with biased opinions who are completely blind.

What I'm wondering more is if an atheist thumbs down an answer of mine, they're also thumbing down the part which criticises Christians, and vice versa, so how do they expect people to know exactly what they're thumbing down?
@ pinon: I've 'gotten laid' plently of times (due to the plenty of pub crawls I had during the university semester), however I'm currently on break and in a tight money situation, so no going out and computer nerdery is my only option for enjoyment.
Again, this is an actual question about why, what thought processes are going on, I am in no way upset by it.
@ Anthony D: It's a theory, it has mathematical backing, your criticisms of supposed use of 'metaphysics' shows you have no understanding of how M-theory was actually composed.

thumbs down are a good sign. I often feel satisfied that I have given a good answer if I get a lot. many people, especially atheists, are not glad to hear the truth.

Different people thumb down for different reasons, but it's usually because they quickly scanned what was written did not agree with part of it. They don't have to give reasons for thumbing down, which is something YA should do something about, "no thumbs down without reasons" and the ability to report someone who thumbs down without giving a sensible argument would be great.

Some however thumb down for tactical reasons the more thumbs down a person gets the more likely if it goes to voting someone who doesn't really understand the subject may choose to vote against the person with the thumbs down even if the arguments otherwise made sens, also answers that are thumbed down can be ordered lower than the ones with the most thumbs up and some people when voting for best answer can't be bothered to read all the way down the list if there are a lot of answers.

Lastly you just get some people who just love to log on and thumb down as many answers as they can in order to feel good about themselves as they've nothing better to do with their lives.

On what basis do you criticize atheism? We don't assert any absolutes, we just ask for sufficient evidence for the claims that theists make.

I have two thumbs and can point them in any direction I want to. I suggest you do the same.
